                 TurboBee Ver 1.0

Unpack the Bee file to it's own disk and boot it to run
the demo.

At the New Jersey AppleFest in 1990, we were showing a
second prototype of our proposed "TurboRez" graphics card.
One of the demo programs showed off the hardware with some
dynamic animation, part of which involved a flying bee. We
received a lot of favorable comments about the demo in gen-
eral, and quite a few inquiries about "the bee".

As the original demo was designed to run only on a GS
equipped with our graphics hardware, "the bee" could only
make limited appearances. Now, due to popular request and
after much foot-dragging, he can be seen on a stock GS ( w/
1 meg ).

The actual bee sequence itself started life on an Atari
ST1040 system and was ported over to the GS, were it was
converted to a series of animation bitmaps. The software
used was: Cyber Paint and Cad-3D, both published by Antic
Software. These excellent programs allow for some powerful
3D modeling and rendering. Alas, they're not available for
the GS. But, if "borrowing" from other systems makes for a
better and fuller GS enviroment, why not ?

This particular demo is pretty straightforward. It has
a pallette cycled background for the dual bees. The bees are
simple rectangular bitmaps, nothing too exotic here. At this
time there's no soundtrack. In a future version, we'll pro-
bably add music and also go to compiled shape animation for
the bee(s).

Note: This version runs fine on all of our Rom 01 GS's
around here and I'm pretty sure it'll be fine on an 03. If
anybody runs into any problems, please get in touch :

Anyway, enjoy "Mr. Bee" flying his heart out :)
